i loved this urban outfitters jacket last fall, but couldn't bring myself to spend $140 on it. i went back to check if it was on sale, and it was! for $40! but alas it was sold out and i was majorly bummed. then, to rub it in, i saw the exact same jacket on none other than nyc "social" olivia palermo. if only i had checked back a week earlier! aaah regrets..xx
spotted these babies on cobrasnake the other day and stalked them until i found them for sale online..cost around $85 so i don't know if i will take the plunge just yet but i am seriously considering it..xx

just a few things on my spring DIY list, most of which have been lingering on the list for months and even years now..i think it's about time to finish these projects:
lately i have had an unhealthy obsession with ebay, bidding on obscure items ranging from old lumberjack flannels to vintage duck boots to faux fur jackets. on impulse, i just bought a hervé chapelier tote bag that, at $34, has to be fake, right? (even though the seller guaranteed '100% authenticity'..we'll see about that) why do i do these things! i think it is because i am deprived of good vintage/consignment stores when i am at school, so i fill that void with a daily dose of good ol' ebay..but it really must stop. xx
what is wrong with young love these days? first i hear that peaches geldof and max drummey are getting divorced after, what, 6 months? then there is this whole rihanna/chris brown drama (he is an idiot btw)..why can't everyone just make it work?! especially this close to v-day and all. not totally unrelated, here is a picture of me being peaches for halloween last year (talk about an obscure costume idea haha)..xx
i bought this silver ring from f21 two days ago, and i should have known when i saw the $3.80 price tag that this item was not built to last. the green finger was the only problem at first (and this was to be expected since it is obviously not real silver), but then i noticed that the silver was wearing off already! now there are what appears to be copper spots at various places on the ring. i am bummed because i thought i would be able to wear this almost every day, but now i am scared that it will transform entirely into copper..yikes! i guess this is a problem with all cheap products-there is a reason that you are paying so little. is it worth it to buy something cute, even if there is a chance it will not last a week, let alone a season?? xx
tilly and the wall gave a fabulous concert tonight at legends. if you have not heard of them before, the band uses tap dancing as percussion and it was really fun to watch. their outfits were fabulous as well. i especially loved the tap dancer's outfit: worn-out grey tee, shiny purple spandex skirt, and colorful leopard tights, topped off with black and white wingtip tap shoes and green sequin armbands. that would be my dream job i think, tap dancing with cool music and cool people while wearing cool clothes...ahh the good life. xx
i have had a profound love for enamel bangles for the past few years..they are a great way to add a splash of color to any outfit, and i love to mismatch them. thought it looked cool to stack my collection, wish i could actually wear them like that but i think my arm weighed 10 extra pounds. the cool thing about these bracelets is that they are easy to find, relatively cheap, and they are good for people of all shapes, sizes, and ages. everyone loves a good bangle..xx
